Navigating REACH Microplastics Restriction: Are your products impacted?
Do your products contain Synthetic Polymer Microparticles (SPM)? If so, the REACH microplastics restriction may affect you.
The microplastics restriction (Entry 78 of Annex XVII to the REACH Regulation) prohibits the placing on the market of polymers that meet the SPM definition, unless their use is specifically exempted. This broad restriction impacts a wide range of products — including cosmetics and detergents — and targets certain solid polymers that can persist and accumulate in the environment as microplastics. It also introduces annual emission reporting requirements for derogated uses.
Join this webinar to determine whether the restriction applies to your products or if they qualify for an exemption, and to understand your reporting obligations beginning in 2026.
